How Voice Broadcasting & IVR Works

A Voice Broadcasting and IVR system automates large-scale outbound calling using an Application Server, Database, Dialer Server, Voice Processor, and PSTN. The process begins when a user uploads a list of phone numbers, which the Application Server processes along with campaign settings and IVR levels stored in the database. The prepared list is then passed to the Dialer Server, which automatically initiates calls and connects recipients through the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network).

Once a recipient answers, the Voice Processor plays the configured voice message or IVR prompts and captures keypad responses using DTMF (Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency) input. Based on the recipient’s selection, the Application Server can retrieve the appropriate IVR level or response from the database and continue the interaction accordingly. After the campaign, call outcomes and recipient responses can be collected as responder analytics, helping businesses monitor campaign performance and engagement.
